Community Playgroups for Parents with children 3 years old and under

Playgroup in the Park has partnered with Dr. Pam Diener to create Community Playgroups. The goal of this pilot program is create a place for parents to be able to take a pause, share the joys of being a parent and create lasting memories. Discovering art, sound, movement, and more in individual and group exploration. Two experts in the field, combing evidence based therapy and education to create a magical and supportive environment that provides the “just right” amount of stimulation, play and fun. For Parents and Children under 5 years of age.

A Playgroup Parent Alum feels,”The Playgroup approach is unique to early childhood enrichment. From the child-led exploration in a highly visual and artistic classroom setting, to the tremendous respect for each child inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The Playgroup model cultivates deeper, more meaningful relationships for parents, children, and their community.”

“I just had to say again how awesome today was…our time together will be so special for me and Steven! Each day on our drive to and from St. Columba’s to pick Ainsley up he has been fussy…he just seems to want to play and be active and has complained a lot about being strapped into his car seat driving. Today he slept without a peep there and back….he had had time just for him and played to his heart’s content and it was awesome!! Such a relief for me to drive in peace and then get to discuss Ainsley’s school day with her without us feeling sorry for his fussies:) So thanks again!!”–Sharon (A current Playgroup Parent)
